Please refer to Payroll setup section before working on Payroll processing. Payroll module will not work properly without setting up Payroll Categories, Pay Rate Types, Pay Categories, Hour Codes, Pay Rates & Employee payroll setup.

Payroll Setup

Payroll processing consists of below steps:

• Creating Payroll batch
• Generate Payroll data, which will create all Employee Payroll records for that batch
• Refresh Payroll entries to reflect recently approved Timesheets after previous refresh
• Manual Adjustments: Make any manual adjustments as needed.
• Working with Payroll Batch
• Approve individual or bulk Employee payroll. Changes are not allowed on approved records.
• Duplicate/Split batch: Optionally you can duplicate the batch and move some Employees to the new batch.
• Approve Payroll batch: Once all associated Employee payroll are approved, Approve the payroll batch so that no further changes are allowed on the entire payroll batch.
• Reverting Approvals: You can revert approval to unlock the batch or individual Employee payroll to make any changes and then approve again.
• Summary Report: Provides total cost of the payroll batch categorized by payroll category group and payroll category.
• Export Payroll: Go to 'Export Tab' and export the payroll data (so that we can provide to your payroll service provider)
• Mark as processed: Once Payroll batch is processed with your Payroll service provider, click on 'Processed' button. This action will also post the payroll transactions into Employee Accounts Summary Report.
• Attach Payroll documents: Optionally attached post processing documents to each payroll batch (Earnings Report, Liability forms, check copies etc).
